This book – with 55 pertinent videos – is the 3rd product in the ‘PRM arsenal’ for US. It is very much straightforward that – while dealing with a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal diseases – physicians naturally use several interventional procedures at some steps of their conservative approach. Needless to say, herein, US plays the paramount role, i.e. not only for precise guidance during those interventions but also for prompt clinical decision-making in advance. This is, by far, the reason why we have put equal emphasis on imaging and guidance in this project. Trying to include as many musculoskeletal procedures as possible – or one can imagine – we have put our “extra spin” in this interventional US textbook. Levent Özçakar Professor at Hacettepe University Medical School, De partment of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Ankara, Turkey. His main areas of interest comprise musculoskeletal ultrasonography, scientific publishing and thoracic outlet syndrome. He has authored over 370 publications in various international journals indexed in SCI/SCI-Exp, and edited the book “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine”. He is also Editor, member of the Editorial board and/or reviewer for many international journals indexed by SCI/SCI-Exp. He is the Founder & President of TURK-MUSCULUS (Turkish Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Study Group), EURO-MUSCULUS (European Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Study Group), WORLD-MUSCULUS (World Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Study Group), TURK-MUS (Turkish Multidisciplinary Ultrasound Society), USPRM (Ultrasound Study Group of ISPRM), and ESPRM (European Society) Special Interest Committee on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. He is also the National delegate for EULAR Standing Committee on Musculoskeletal Imaging.
